So what exactly is a Public Adjuster and how can hiring one help you?

Below are some of the most commonly asked questions and answers with regard to who we are, what we do and how we help.

Who does a Public Adjuster work for?

A Public Adjuster works for you… not for the insurance company!

There’s two sides to an insurance claim, we ONLY represent YOUR side. Our job is simple: to get you a fast, fair settlement. A settlement that ensures that you are able to fully recover and rebuild or replace your property to its pre-loss condition.

When you file a claim, the insurance company will send an adjuster to assess your damage. However, that adjuster works for the insurance company and has a financial responsibility to the insurer, not to you.

On the other hand, a public adjuster, by law, has a financial responsibility to YOU. Our job as public adjusters is to make sure that you receive fair and equitable compensation for your claim so you are able to return your property to its pre-loss condition.

What types of claims can we handle?

We are here to help with just about any type of property damage claim caused by flood, fire, collapse, explosion, hurricane, smoke, vandalism/theft, hail, lightning strike, burst pipes / plumbing damage, mold, wind & windstorm / tornado, soot, roof damage, or a sinkhole. If your business or commercial property is damaged, call us before you even call your insurance company. We can help with filing and negotiating your claim. Even if you had a prior claim that was denied or less than adequate, call us and let us see if we can open a supplemental claim for you.

Why do you need a Public Adjuster?

Owning a home, business or commercial property is stressful enough. That stress is further compounded after a loss. Hiring a public adjuster allows you to take that stress off of your shoulders and put it on ours instead. You’ve got a job to do, people to supervise, a family to run… a life to live. Do you really want to spend time worrying about all of the claim details? Think about the hundreds of provisions and stipulations; the endorsements, the ever-changing forms, inventory appraisals and real estate evaluations that are all mandatory when filing a claim. Did you realize that in order to collect for the contents portion of your claim that the burden of proof (of both pre-loss condition and ownership) is on YOU? We know this business inside and out and our goal is to make sure you get a fast, fair settlement with the least possible stress.

What else do we do?

We’ll inspect the loss site and assess the damage, including problems that may not be immediately apparent. Then, we gather all of the data to support your claim and determine how much it will cost to rebuild and/or replace everything to its original condition. We will also handle all of the negotiations with your insurance company on your behalf and continue working for you until your settlement check is safely in your hands.

We are property loss experts.

It’s our job to know your policy even better than the person who sold it to you.

Have you ever watched a doctor use an MRI to help make his diagnosis? That’s how we view your insurance policy. By seeing the whole picture, we know exactly what you are entitled to receive after a loss. We also know that getting the maximum possible settlement isn’t just about reading a policy. Your claim must be properly prepared and filed in an accurate and timely manner. We help you every step of the way until your claim is settled.
